The Community Foundation for Nantucket announced $500,000 in grant funding to island organizations on Monday through its Nantucket Fund.
The annual grants – intended to help address the island’s “most critical needs and initiatives – support a variety of programs from pre-kindergarten readiness to elder services, trauma therapy, and affordable housing.
This year, the Community Foundation has awarded grants to the following organizations and programs:

- Artists Association for Nantucket’s Community Arts Program
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and Islands’ Mentoring Program
- Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation Public Health Services
- Elder Services of Cape Cod and Islands’ Meals On Wheels Program
- Fairwinds’ Telehealth Hybrid Care
- Friends of Children’s Cove Travel Support
- Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Home Ownership Support
- Health Imperatives’ Health Equity Now
- Housing Nantucket’s Affordable Rental Maintenance
- Maria Mitchell Association’s STEM Mentoring Program
- Mass Audubon Nantucket Sanctuaries’ Youth Environmental Stewards
