American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher
The ASL teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, introductory American Sign Language and Deaf Culture instruction to adult students with little or no prior experience. The instructor will introduce the ASL manual alphabet, numbers, greetings, feelings, expressions, family, time, clothing, body parts, and other foundational conversational tools. Responsibilities include implementing the curriculum, evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate student records, and fostering an interactive, engaging learning environment.

Nantucket Aquatics Assistant Swim Coach
The assistant coach will work alongside the head swim coach to oversee practices and home swim meets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both beginner and advanced-level swimmers. The swim season runs from September 2026 to July 2027, with practices after school from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additionally, applicants must be willing to work occasional Saturday hours.

Nantucket Community Pool Lifeguard
The lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and properly functioning aquatic environment. Duties include routine pool chemical testing and reporting, monitoring pool equipment and supplies, assisting patrons, managing pool and deck cleanliness, and supporting daily facility operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons.

Swim Instructor
Swim instructors are tasked with teaching children elementary swimming skills. Instructors will lead classes with up to five students in 30-minute increments for varying levels and abilities. Additionally, instructors will be expected to communicate the learn to swim curriculum with our students and caregivers. Instructors will provide up to two hours of in-water instruction each day, as well as write weekly progress reports to families.
