ACKventure Day Camp 2026
Week 1: June 29 – July 2 (No camp on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day)

ACKventure Full Day
Ages: 5-10
Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm (extension hours from 8:00-9:00am and 3:00-4:00pm will be offered)
Cost per week: $675 (on-island family rate: $475)
Children entering kindergarten through fifth grade explore all the wonders that Nantucket has to offer. Participants take full advantage of our Nantucket Public Schools facility, utilizing the indoor pool, gymnasiums, and fields.

ACKventure Junior
Ages: 3 years and six months to 5 years
Hours: 9:00am-1:00pm (extension hours from 8:00-9:00am will be offered)
Cost per week: $625 (on-island family rate: $425)
ACKventure Junior is our half-day camp that runs concurrent with ACKventure Full Day. This program is specifically designed for younger, preschool-aged children.

ACKventure Extension
Morning Extension Ages: 3.5-10
Afternoon Extension Ages: 5-10
Hours: 8:00am-9:00am and/or 3:00-4:00pm
Cost per week: $125*
Does your child need to start their camp day early? Reserve a spot in this supervised extension camp. This camp is available to those enrolled in ACKventure Full Day.

*Island families are able to enroll in ACKventure Extension hours for free due to a generous grant from the Nantucket Golf Club Foundation.
PAYMENT POLICY
Full payment is due at registration. There will be no refunds granted after Friday, April 3, 2026. Any refunds prior to April 3 will be subject to a 10% processing fee. Please make payment by Visa/Mastercard, cash, money order, or check payable to Nantucket Community School (NCS).
REFUND POLICY
ACKventure Day Camp and Sports Clinics are NON-REFUNDABLE after Friday, April 3, 2026
CANCELLATION POLICY
The Nantucket Community School reserves the right to cancel programs with low enrollment. Families will be notified the Friday before the start of the program and will receive a full refund if canceled by NCS.
BEHAVIOR POLICY
Children are expected to be able to stay with the group and participate in the activities. A child who demonstrates inappropriate verbal or physical behavior will be sent home for the remainder of the day. Parents will be contacted and required to pick up their child immediately. If this behavior becomes a recurring pattern, the child will be withdrawn for the remainder of the program session. Future session enrollment will be reviewed and approved at the discretion of the Nantucket Community School executive director.
Families interested in financial aid must fill out the form found here. The deadline for applications is December 12, 2025. Awards will be made via email by December 31, 2025.
ACKventure Sports 2026
Basketball
Monday through Friday, June 29-August 14 (No camp on Friday, July 3)
Time: 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Ages: 7-12
Price: $400 (Regular Student), $300 (Year-Round Resident)
This camp will prioritize development of the fundamentals required to become a well-rounded basketball player: dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. These skills are demonstrated by passionate coaches through fun and enjoyable drills and group games, during which participation and overall enjoyment are emphasized. Groups will be divided based on age and skill level to facilitate maximum improvement of all players alike.

Gymnastics and Dance
Monday through Friday, June 29-August 14 (No camp on Friday, July 3)
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Ages: 5-10
Price: $675 (Regular Student), $475 (Year-Round Resident)
Campers will enjoy a mix of gymnastics, dance, and creative movement activities that build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. Each day includes fun warm-ups, skill instruction, music-filled routines, obstacle courses, group games, and crafts. All experience levels welcomed! Campers should wear movable clothing; leotards are recommended.

Tennis (Ages 4-6)
Monday through Friday, June 29-August 14 (No camp on Friday, July 3)
Time: 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Price: $400 (Regular Student), $300 (Year-Round Resident)
This camp is a fun-filled introduction to tennis for children ages 4 to 6 years old. Campers will focus on building basic tennis skills through games, movement, and imaginative play. Using kid-sized raquets, soft balls, and shorter courts, campers learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and supportive environment. This is open to all skill levels.

This camp is designed for tennis players who want to expand their skills on the court. Campers will build on their knowledge of the tennis fundamentals while introducing more advanced skills in a fun and energetic environment. All experience levels welcomed.

This tennis camp is designed for players who want to develop strong fundamentals, improve consistency, and gain confidence in match play. Campers will combine skill development, fitness, and strategy to create a fun but focused training environment.

Students who are participating in outdoor sports should be dressed appropriately for each day’s weather conditions. In the event there is severe thunderstorms and/or rain, the decision may be made to cancel for the day. Severe weather poses safety concerns for our staff and students. In the event of severe weather, notification of class cancellations will occur 45 minutes prior to the start of instruction via email. No refunds will be offered.

Athletes who are enrolled in sports at Nantucket Community School this summer need to submit the following health forms signed by a healthcare provider:
1. A current medical history listing allergies, required medications, and any health conditions that may affect the child’s camp activities.
2. A report of a physical exam conducted in the 18 months before the start of their sport.
3. A certificate of immunization.
Typically, these forms can be downloaded from your patient portal. They are the same forms required by most schools. Please note we cannot accept after-visit summaries. These forms must be uploaded to your child’s account. Failure to do so will result in being removed from the sport; no refunds will be offered.
