Camp Director

This position will coordinate and supervise all aspects of the ACKventure Day Camp program including application for state licensure, safety oversight, camp program, and camp counselor development and expansion.

Assistant Camp Director

This position assists in the supervision of all aspects of NCS day programs including safety oversight, counselor and coach development and expansion, schedules, camper enrollment paperwork (per licensure) and registrations, and oversees and ensures camper/counselor ratios are maintained at all times.

Summer Lead and Assistant Coaches

Coaches will be expected to supervise, coach, and engage children in the Nantucket Community School Sports and Wellness department during the 2025 summer months. Coaches will work under the direct supervision of the Sports and Wellness Coordinator. All sports will be based out of the Nantucket Public School campuses.

ACKventure Assistant and Lead Counselors

Camp Counselors will be tasked with leading assigned age groups and engaging children ages 3.5 to 8 in daily camp activities. Camp programming will take place at Nantucket Intermediate School.

Summer Swim Instructor

Swim instructors are tasked with teaching children elementary swimming skills. Instructors will lead classes with up to five students in 30-minute increments for varying levels and abilities. Additionally, instructors will be expected to communicate the Learn to Swim curriculum with our students and caregivers. Instructors will provide up to 2.5 hours of in-water instruction each day, as well as writing weekly progress reports to families.

Summer Boost Classroom Teaching Assistant

The classroom teaching assistant is responsible for supporting students in the Summer Boost classrooms. Each teaching assistant will work closely with the Summer Boost team to prepare students for their kindergarten year. This staff member takes instruction from the classroom teacher and reports directly to the NCS Early Childhood Program Coordinator.

Early Childhood Program Babysitter

The babysitter will provide engaging childcare for the children of parents participating in the Circle of Moms parent group at the Nantucket Community School building at 56 Centre Street.

Lead Gymnastics Instructors

The Lead Gymnastics Instructors will execute lessons and skill development plans while providing input for enhancing workouts. Additionally, the lead instructors will help with gymnastics programming and activity support such as retrieving supplies and equipment, setting up and breaking down equipment, and directing participants during events. Candidates must be willing to work flexible after-school hours or Saturday mornings.
